Have you heard the advice to steer clear of confrontations and reduce the likelihood of being hurt? This advice isn’t meant to make you seem weak, nor is it telling you to let people walk all over you. Growing up in my small village, this was a lesson that my parents and grandparents repeated to me over and over. This teaching has been preserved in our culture so that every generation can learn and benefit from it. Today, I want to share why this advice is so important and why it wasn’t just something our grandparents or parents made up.
Some People Dislike You for No Reason
You will encounter people who dislike you for reasons they can’t even explain. You're not alone—others are facing the same thing as we speak. Unfortunately, this is a part of life that will never cease to exist. A person who dislikes you may provoke you, but their chances of attacking you are small until they get a reaction. They simply need a reason to do what they’ve always wanted. However, when you avoid confrontation, either physical or verbal, they may be frustrated, but they lack a reason to attack you.
Why Avoiding Confrontation Doesn’t Mean Ignoring the Situation
I didn’t use the word “ignore” because it’s important to be security-conscious about the people and things around you. You can’t ignore the fact that someone dislikes you and may be out to harm you. While staying aware of this, by avoiding confrontation, you’ll be able to protect yourself from their harmful intentions.
Understanding Energy in the Spiritual Realm
Humans feed off the energy in the spiritual realm because we all have a spiritual side that’s connected to it. This connection means you’re either feeding off positive or negative energy. People who connect to evil energy may show their true colors, but they can’t harm you as long as you stay connected to positive spiritual forces. However, the moment you disconnect from the positive energy, you make yourself vulnerable to the harm someone always intended for you.
Why Aligning with Negative Energy Puts You in Danger
When you engage with someone who has ill intentions towards you, you risk connecting to the same negative energy they’re aligned with. Evil doesn’t protect evil—it destroys. Only the positive force offers you protection. If you separate yourself from good by engaging with evil, you also separate yourself from the protection you once had.
The Power of Voodoo and Obeah Only Works If You Allow It
When you hear about practices like voodoo or obeah, they work in a similar way. These forces can only affect you if you allow them to. The person summoning evil needs a reason to direct harm towards you. But if you avoid confrontation, that evil won’t succeed because you remain connected to good forces, and your protection remains intact.
The Danger of Weakening Your Spiritual Protection
Many people fail because they weaken themselves by detaching from positive spiritual forces and embracing evil to follow their enemies. You cannot be protected by God and His angelic forces if you’re standing with the other side. This is why the teaching, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," is so important. If you want good to come your way, you need to bring good to others—these are spiritual laws as well.
Why Avoiding Confrontation Is Your Best Defense
As you can see, the advice to avoid giving people a reason to hurt you and avoid confrontation is not about appearing weak. It is your best defense to keep yourself safe under the continuous protection of God and His angelic forces. Don’t let anyone cause you to side with negative forces just to fight. That’s the strategy evil forces use to achieve their mission.
