Recognizing God's Guidance in Our Daily Lives

At times, you might feel as if you are alone and that God is nowhere to be found. In moments of trouble, it can seem there is no way out and that God is absent. When you see situations that seem to require divine intervention, it may feel as though God is not around. Witnessing the evil habits and actions of others might lead you to wonder if God is still present. These questions are natural, and you are not the only one who sometimes sits and questions the presence of God during such times.

God observes our every action and is fully aware of all that happens. In fact, He knows exactly what will happen to you next and how you will overcome that situation. A very important gift given to us by God is the ability to make choices, and life is all about choice. The decisions you make every second determine what will come into your life next and which step you will take.

Whatever choices we make are up to us, but that does not mean that God does not intervene when we are about to make a bad choice. He always intervenes, though we may not see Him appearing to tell us directly. Let me give you a simple and common scenario of how God works:

Imagine you just arrived home from a long day at work, having promised your spouse that you would spend the evening together before going to bed. However, just as you are about to go to bed, your friends arrive and try to persuade you to go out.

You reconsider and choose to join them. Before you leave, your spouse tries to stop you, giving you all the reasons to stay, but you decide to go anyway. After getting dressed, your phone rings; it’s your mother checking up on you. You inform her that you're heading out, and she questions why it's so late. You reply that it won't be for long. You manage to leave and join your friends, but while you are out, something happens, and you find yourself in trouble.

In this scenario, God was present all along. Even though He has given us the choice to make our own decisions, He still tries to guide us. He tried to help you by letting your spouse try to convince you to stay and again when your mother called. But still, you chose to go out with your friends, making the wrong decision. God won’t appear to you and show Himself because, in that case, everyone would choose to do the right thing without faith.

God doesn't desire to compel us into making the right decisions. He wants us to make the right choices and follow Him willingly, but He still cares about us all. It’s just that He gave us free will to decide which road we will take in this life. So, when you see things happening, don’t question where God is. I strongly believe He intervenes in many ways, but ultimately, people still make their own choices.

Even though God can foresee the consequences of our choices, He allows us to decide. He knows exactly where a bad choice will lead and will intervene, but in the end, the choice is still ours.

It is very important to listen to the warnings or signs that come to us. For instance, if you get in your vehicle to go out late at night and it’s raining heavily with thunder and lightning, and your vehicle won’t start, it’s best to go back inside. This could be a sign from God, instead of ignoring it and calling a taxi. It’s crucial to learn some of the common ways God shows His presence in our lives.

In conclusion, when you feel alone or see the evil in the world, remember that God is always there, guiding and intervening. We bear the responsibility of recognizing His presence and heeding His guidance. Trust that He knows what is best for us, and have faith in His divine plan.
